World AIDS Day on the Big Island Volunteers Needed to Raise World AIDS Day Awareness! Volunteers are needed to help wave signs and banners on Tuesday, December 1st, in Hilo to help raise awareness about World AIDS Day and HIV testing! Memorial in Hilo on December 1st: The Hawaii Island HIV/AIDS Foundation will be hosting a Memorial Service on December 1, 2009, 5:00pm in Hilo, at Liliuokalani Park, Sumo Ring. Photo Display in Kona on December 1st: Living Positive in Hawaii, a photo exhibit of HIV positive individuals in Hawaii, will be displayed at Kona Hospital, Kohala Hospital, and the Hospice of Kona. Artwork from the teen poster contest held in honor of Asian and Pacific Islander Awareness Day will be on display at the Kailua-Kona library from November 24th until December 4th.
